Hello, I'm Cameron Maier (aka Bearcam) (aka everyone’s first time meeting someone from Delaware)

The name Bearcam is the product of a late night conversation/rant with Dave Graham that mostly was about getting me into a bear suit with a camera strapped to my head and for some reason the name just stuck. More interesting than Cameron’s Camera we thought. However, yes - I’m often found doing bear-like activities with a camera in tow.

In 2021 I was selected to attend a Director’s Workshop/Accelerator Program with the great Werner Herzog, which was one of the most impactful moments of my directing career. Shortly after I completed a photography workshop with Thomas Albdorf.

As Werner says:
